Instagram has introduced a new feature that lets users add photos they’ve been tagged in directly to their main profile grid. Previously, these tagged photos could only be viewed in a separate section called the "Tagged" tab. Now, users can choose specific posts to showcase on their main profile, offering more control over how their content is presented. This feature can be used for group photos, collaborations with other creators, or personal memories—though any tagged post can be added, regardless of the context. To add a tagged post to their grid, users have multiple options. They can do so through the direct message (DM) notification that appears when they’re tagged in a post, via the three-dot menu on the upper right of the post, or by pressing and holding a post in the Tagged tab. When adding a post, a notice will appear under the "Add to grid" button, reminding users that the visibility of the post depends on both their own privacy settings and those of the person who tagged them. If a user decides they no longer want a tagged post on their profile, they can remove it without affecting the original post. By default, all added tagged posts will appear in reverse chronological order on the grid, but users can rearrange them as needed. This ability to reorder posts was first introduced in June, a year after it was announced, allowing users to organize their profiles regardless of when the posts were created. This update is part of Instagram’s ongoing effort to give users more control over their profiles and the content they share. In addition to this feature, Instagram has rolled out other tools to help users manage their content more effectively, such as "First Draft," which automatically trims video clips, and "Replace Audio," which lets users change the music on an existing post. These tools aim to streamline the content creation process and provide users with greater flexibility in how they present their content online.
