Racing Bulls secures points in Singapore

Racing Bulls continued its strong performance during the Singapore Grand Prix, with Liam Lawson delivering consistent results that contributed to the team's points tally. Lawson secured fifth place in the Sprint and finished seventh in the main race, earning his team ten additional points over the weekend.

Team gains lead in constructors' championship

The team now holds a 32-point lead over Alpine and is beginning to consider a fifth-place finish in the constructors' championship, a result the team has yet to achieve. This performance highlights the team's growing competitiveness in the season.

Lawson's consistent performance in Singapore

Lawson had a particularly solid weekend at Marina Bay, finishing in the top 10 during all three days of racing. Competitive in both qualifying and the race, he confirmed his good form after several encouraging events.

Lawson reflects on team's performance

"I am very happy, very proud of the team. We had some very intense weeks and we scored points during the three races. Personally, I would have scored once more," Lawson said, referring to his incident with his teammate in Baku.

Lawson on future and contract

Lawson expressed satisfaction with the team's ability to convert performance into points, noting, "It's good that the last few weeks went as planned. Scoring points in both the Sprint and the race is great for us, so I'm very happy." He also acknowledged that his current performance could play a decisive role in his future.

Contract extension confirmed for Lawson

The extension of his contract in 2027 is no longer in doubt, with reserve driver Nikola Tsolov sent for a purgatory season in Super Formula in Japan. This move signals confidence in Lawson's future with the team.

Lindblad struggles in Singapore race

On the other side of the garage, Arvid Lindblad had a much more complicated race. Despite starting in the top 10 on the grid, the Brit completely missed his start and lost several positions in the first corners.

Lindblad on start and race strategy

"I need to review the procedure, I don't know if I missed something, but it was shocking. I was sucked in before the first corner and I also had to brake because I was sandwiched. I lost several positions and I knew at that moment it was going to be long," Lindblad explained.

Lindblad's race performance

The rest of his race was no better. Trying to conserve his tires, the young driver found himself vulnerable on the straights and gradually dropped back to 15th place: "I tried to save a bit and I was overtaken several times on the straight. It wasn't an easy day, but there were also many difficult things on my side," Lindblad said.

Racing Bulls looks ahead to Austin

Nevertheless, Racing Bulls leaves Singapore with an enhanced lead over Alpine and a particularly encouraging momentum. Backed by Lawson's consistency, the team now intends to continue on this track in Austin to consolidate its position in the championship.
