The AA also highlighted a dessert made with strawberry, coconut, and pandan, which they said "finishes a meal nicely." The restaurant is noted for its vibrant atmosphere and ability to bring Thai culinary traditions to a modern audience. The Walnut Tree Inn in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, was recognized for its "classic cooking in a legendary venue." This family-run establishment offers an informal, welcoming environment with a daily-changing menu that reflects the season. The AA praised the restaurant for its "rock solid and reliable" dishes, emphasizing its deep understanding of ingredients, flavor combinations, and time-honored cooking techniques. It has long been a favorite among locals and visitors alike. In Glasgow, Swadish by Ajay Kumar stood out for its "modern Indian food in a sleek setting." The restaurant combines traditional Indian spicing and cooking methods with high-quality, seasonal ingredients, creating a contemporary take on classic dishes. The interior features stylish design elements such as marble, mirrors, and dark wood, offering a sophisticated dining experience that appeals to a wide audience. The awards ceremony took place on 21 September at Grosvenor House in London. Simon Numphud, managing director of AA Hotel and Hospitality Services, emphasized that the awards highlight the diversity and quality of the UK’s hospitality industry.
