XGIMI Horizon 20 projector review

The XGIMI Horizon 20 projector is currently priced at 1,690.00 € at Boulanger.com and has been identified as the best quality-price ratio among 40 models tested in a laboratory comparison. The Xgimi Horizon 20 is a high-end 4K tri-laser projector under Google TV, featuring optical zoom, lens shift, and a swivel stand, which promise a bright image, flexible installation, and a very interesting price.

Features and performance

It offers a detailed 4K image, effective trapezoid correction, automatic focusing, and a complete and smooth Google TV interface. It also supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision compatibility, has particularly low input lag, and includes a backlit remote control with very quiet ventilation. However, its colorimetry could be improved, contrast is limited, and audio is described as acceptable but lacking in depth.

Comparison with Horizon 20 Max

The XGIMI Horizon 20 is considered less bright than its older sibling, the Horizon 20 Max, but it is significantly cheaper. It maintains a refined design, exemplary installation features, and excellent 4K image quality, though its calibration is not perfect. Its quality-price ratio is described as remarkable and currently the best of 2026.

Valerion Vision Master Pro 2 review

The second best quality-price ratio is attributed to the Valerion Vision Master Pro 2, a 4K tri-laser projector that has found its place on the market. It features impressive contrast adjustment (EBL), a smooth Google TV interface, and high performance in video games, establishing it as a serious alternative to market leaders and one of the best models of 2025.

Limitations and strengths

While its colorimetry is imperfect out of the box, it meets the requirements to satisfy large format image enthusiasts, demanding cinephiles, and gamers.
