Approximately seven weeks before Christmas, AliExpress's Single Day event, launched on November 1st, adds discount codes reserved for Clubic readers to the listed prices.

The Xiaomi Pad 7 with 8 GB + 256 GB is available for 202.35 euros with the code CLU40, down from the 228.28 euros relayed at the beginning of October.

The 11.2-inch screen in 3:2 format displays 3,200 × 2,136 pixels, closer to a page than the 16:9 of a television. Notebookcheck measured approximately 850 cd/m², and the 144 Hz refresh rate smoothens scrolling.

Battery and charging

The 8,850 mAh battery exceeded 18 hours of Wi-Fi browsing in Notebookcheck's tests. The 45 W charging recovers 54% in 30 minutes according to Computerwoche, but the charger is not included.

Audio and build

Four speakers compatible with Dolby Atmos accompany the 3,2K definition, in a 6.2 mm thick chassis weighing about 500 grams.

Performance and software

The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is at the level of a mid-range smartphone, which is sufficient for browsing, video, and common games. Launched with Android 15 and the HyperOS 2 skin, it includes AI tools for writing or editing photos.

Accessories and options

As an option, the Focus Pen stylus at 99.90 euros and two keyboards can transform it into a notebook or a lightweight office tool. However, it remains limited to Wi-Fi, lacking 4G or 5G versions.

Limitations of the Xiaomi Pad 7

Demanding gamers will have to lower settings on the heaviest titles, and the absence of fingerprint reader, headphone jack, and microSD port will be felt by some. The LCD, finally, does not offer the deep blacks of an OLED screen.
