Kia has introduced the EV2, a compact electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) that is 4.06 meters long. The vehicle is available with a 2,000 euro discount across its entire range, making it more affordable for buyers. In its base form, the EV2 starts at 26,670 euros, but with the discount and additional government incentives, the entry-level model can be purchased for as low as 18,570 euros. The EV2 is assembled in Europe, which makes it eligible for stronger incentives under the CEE (Clean Energy for Europe) program, designed to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles. The EV2 offers two battery options: a 42.2 kWh battery and a 61 kWh battery. The smaller battery qualifies for incentives ranging from 3,500 to 6,100 euros, while the larger battery receives incentives between 4,700 and 8,100 euros. These incentives vary based on the buyer’s income and family situation. The 61 kWh battery is manufactured in Europe and is eligible for reinforced incentives under the CEE program. When combined with the 2,000 euro discount, the total incentives for the large battery can reach up to 10,100 euros, while the entry-level model with the smaller battery can receive up to 8,000 euros in support. The EV2 provides a range of 317 kilometers on the smaller battery and 453 kilometers on the larger battery, offering buyers a practical option for daily use and longer trips. These incentives and discounts are available until October 31, 2026, giving consumers a limited window to take advantage of the current financial benefits. The launch of the EV2 reflects Kia’s commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup and supporting the transition to cleaner transportation in Europe.
