Black Friday sales, traditionally held on the day after Thanksgiving in the United States, are a major shopping event where retailers offer significant discounts on products ranging from electronics to home appliances. This year, however, some of the usual Black Friday items have already started receiving early discounts, with some retailers beginning price reductions as early as October. These early promotions may continue to decrease in price by the end of November, but each price has been compared to the lowest price in the last 30 days or to the historical price of the product. Black Friday 2026 will fall on Friday, November 27, and several major retailers, including Amazon, Fnac, Darty, and Boulanger, have already begun lowering prices on various technology products, from televisions to washing robots and smart thermostats. On the morning of Friday, October 9, 20 offers were recorded, with each discount calculated based on the lowest price in the last 30 days displayed by the merchant, which Boulanger refers to as "reference price." Two exceptions, the Echo Dot Max speaker and the Blink Outdoor 4 camera, are compared to their average price, and they have reached their historical lowest price. However, prices may have changed by the time a consumer visits a store or website. This weekend, 20 technology-related offers were available across Amazon, Fnac, Darty, and Boulanger, including several televisions, laptops, smart home devices, and accessories. For example, the Samsung Mini LED TU55M72H 55-inch television was available for 499 euros instead of 649 euros, while the LG OLED evo OLED48G6 48-inch television was offered at 1,399 euros instead of 1,649 euros. Several laptops, including the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 and HP 16-bz0043nfx, were also discounted, with the Acer Predator Helios Neo 18 AI gaming laptop dropping from 2,719.99 euros to 2,199.99 euros. Smart home devices such as the Roborock F25 Ultra washing vacuum and the Bosch Spotless Advanced washing vacuum robot were also available at reduced prices. Additionally, accessories like the Amazon Echo Dot Max and the Blink Outdoor 4 camera reached their lowest historical prices, with discounts of 34% and 55%, respectively. Other notable discounts included the Samsung Galaxy A37 5G smartphone paired with a JBL Grip speaker, the Xiaomi Pad 8 tablet, and the De'Longhi Magnifica Plus coffee machine. Software and service subscriptions were also on sale, with Cyberghost VPN offering a significant discount and B&You providing a 5G data plan with added benefits. Some of these offers, however, come with specific conditions or limitations, such as the requirement for additional equipment or the exclusion of certain accessories like chargers. For instance, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 laptop did not include a charger in its offer, and the Tado X smart thermostat requires a separate gateway for full functionality. The Blink Outdoor 4 camera, while weather-resistant and capable of lasting up to two years on batteries, only offers advanced features with a paid subscription. The discounts range from 15% on the LG OLED television to 43% on the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 laptop. While some of these offers have been available since late September or early October at the same price, no one can guarantee that a product will not be cheaper on Black Friday or that it will still be discounted on that day. If a purchase cannot wait, these early discounts provide a solid baseline for comparison. However, if a buyer can wait until Black Friday, they may find even better deals.
