Tickets, priced at 30 euros, included entry to the evening, participation in the karaoke, and a three-course meal consisting of an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Registration for the event was open until October 4, and last year's first edition of the solidarity karaoke attracted 115 people. Organizers hope to draw even more participants this year. A former breast cancer patient will also be present to dedicate her book during the event. In addition to the karaoke, the Rennes branch of the sein is hosting a book signing session with Laurence Renouard, the author of Ma vie en 🎗, an autobiography detailing her battle with breast cancer. The book was published by Cité des livres editions and will be available for signing on Thursday, October 1, from 2 to 5 PM, at the association’s offices located at the Rennes Private Hospitals. Laurence Renouard explained that she decided to document her journey through narrative photographs seven weeks after her breast cancer diagnosis and one month after her surgery. Her book combines personal reflections with visual storytelling, offering insight into her emotional and physical experiences during her treatment. The event aims to not only raise funds but also foster a sense of community and support among those affected by breast cancer. The combination of music, storytelling, and solidarity is central to the efforts of the sein and its partners in promoting awareness and support for breast cancer patients.
