TCL warns of transport disruptions

TCL, the public transport authority in Lyon, France, has issued a warning that parts of its network will be affected by a social movement on Sunday, November 1st. The disruption is expected to begin at 8 p.m. and will impact four metro lines and the funiculars operated by RATP Dev Lyon.

Metro and funiculars will stop running

The four metro lines and funiculars in Lyon will cease operations at 8 p.m. on Sunday due to the social movement. This decision has been made to ensure the safety of passengers and staff during the event.

OL fans advised to leave stadium promptly

Supporters of Olympique Lyonnais (OL) are being urged to leave the Groupama Stadium immediately after the final whistle of the match against Angers on Sunday afternoon. This is to avoid delays caused by the expected crowd exiting the venue.

Other transport services remain unaffected

Trams, trambuses, and bus lines will continue to operate normally on Sunday. The Rhônexpress and Navigône services, which connect Lyon to surrounding areas, will also remain unaffected by the disruption.

TCL recommends planning ahead

TCL is advising travelers to plan their journeys in advance and consider alternative transportation options if possible. Real-time updates about the disruption will be available through the TCL app, website, and the network’s traffic-related social media accounts.
