Bus service reduced in zones 1 and 2

On Thursday, October 15, public transport users in zones 1 and 2 of the Lyon metropolitan area will face a reduced bus service. Approximately forty bus lines will not operate at all, while others will provide only part of their usual route or fewer departures. However, metro, trams, funiculars, Rhônexpress, and Navigône services will run as normal.

Other services unaffected

Transport in zones 3, 4, 5, and beyond will remain unaffected, with normal service on Junior Direct and other buses in these areas. TCL agencies and Parcs Relais will also maintain their usual operating hours. Additionally, line N195, which serves the Groupama Stadium for the Europa League match between OL and Crystal Palace, will operate normally.

Lines not operating all day

A number of bus lines will not operate at all on Thursday. These include C5, C18, C23, C26, 32, 34, 36, 38, 39, 45, 50, 59, 63, 65, 66, 69, 76, 78, 79, 81, 87, 88, 99EX, 104A, 104B, 105, 107, 108, 114, 116, 117, 118, 124, 127, 133, 135, 137, 141, 144, and BR60. The Pleine Lune lines will also not operate during the night of Thursday to Friday.

Routes shortened and frequencies reduced

Eight bus routes will be shortened, and many others will have reduced frequencies. These lines will operate only on specific sections with less frequent departures, including C6, C12, C14, C31, C35, and others. The Trambus TB11 and TB12 will also run with reduced frequency, as will several other lines such as C1, C2, C8, and many others.

Potential disruptions from demonstrations

TCL warns that planned demonstrations in the Lyon metropolitan area could lead to occasional disruptions on some transport lines, even if they are not among those officially affected by the service reductions.
