Centre Pompidou to mark 50th anniversary

The Centre Pompidou, a major cultural institution in Paris, will commemorate its 50th anniversary with a series of events in January 2027, even though its main building will remain closed until 2030.

Events to take place at Philharmonie de Paris

The anniversary events will be held at the Philharmonie de Paris on January 29 and 30, 2027, featuring a range of performances, exhibitions, and discussions.

Program includes music, film, and philosophy

The program includes a concert by Patti Smith with Soundwalk Collective, walking concerts in the Museum of Music, performances by Amalia Laurent, a film-concert about Man Ray, and talks by philosopher Bastien Gallet on the history of the Centre Pompidou.

Pierre Boulez Hall to host a clubbing night

A highlight of the weekend will be a clubbing night at the Pierre Boulez Hall on January 30, where the space will transform into a large dance floor from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Tickets available in November

Tickets for most events will go on sale starting November 4, with tickets for the clubbing night available from January 6. Organizers expect the events to sell out quickly.
