Hisense has introduced its latest high-end video projector, the PX4-Pro, at the CES trade show in Las Vegas. This model is intended to replace the PX3-Pro and will be sold in France at a recommended retail price of 3,499 euros. This places the PX4-Pro in the upper segment of short-throw laser projectors targeted at consumers, sitting between Hisense’s more affordable models and its top-tier XR10, which is currently priced at 5,999 euros.
The PX4-Pro is equipped with a Digital Laser Engine 3.0 motor and a TriChroma triple laser source, which together deliver 3,500 ANSI lumens or 4,375 ISO lumens of brightness. It can project a 4K UHD image on screens ranging from 80 to 200 inches in size. The projector features a native contrast ratio of up to 6,500:1, thanks to an iris system that adjusts brightness dynamically. It supports advanced video formats such as Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced and can handle Ultra HD signals at 120 Hz. Additionally, it has a response time of 1 ms at 2K resolution and 240 Hz, and it is certified for AMD FreeSync Premium, a feature that Hisense claims makes it the first projector to receive such certification. This combination of features is aimed at appealing to both gamers and movie enthusiasts.
The PX4-Pro also includes a 4.0.2 audio system designed in collaboration with Devialet, a well-known name in high-end audio. This audio system is a feature shared across all the new Hisense projector models. At 3,499 euros, the PX4-Pro competes with other premium short-throw laser projectors such as the Xgimi Aura 3 Max and the Awol Aetherion Max. Hisense’s differentiation strategy for the PX4-Pro will focus on its collaboration with Devialet for audio quality, while all three models offer strong performance in terms of brightness, installation flexibility, and gaming capabilities.
