Aimer en Grand and other initiatives aim to guide teens through emotional and sexual development using Christian anthropology and relational tools.
Challenges in youth development
Pornography, social media overuse, and artificial companions are creating challenges for young people's emotional well-being and clarity about their future. These factors contribute to confusion and harm in their development of a balanced society.Educational initiatives for youth
Various programs have been developed to help adolescents understand affective and sexual life beyond a purely sanitary approach. These initiatives often align with Christian anthropology and aim to build self-confidence and informed decision-making in young people.Aimer en Grand program
Aimer en Grand, a six-session program created by Messiane Cazé and Bishop Nicolas Brouwet, will begin its pilot in 2026. It targets young people aged 14 to 18 and is based on the theology of the body from Saint John Paul II, focusing on friendship and existential questions about commitment.Other diocesan efforts
The diocese of Morbihan has also addressed these issues by training interveners in schools. The DDEC of the 56 provides ready-to-use kits for different age groups, while associations like TeenStar offer long-term programs in mixed and non-mixed small groups.Parent-child relationship workshops
Cycloshow and XY propose workshops for parents and children to improve communication about adolescence. Programs like Parlez-moi d'amour encourage children to understand themselves in all dimensions, emphasizing the inviolability of their intimate space and human dignity.Promoting body positivity
The association Com' je t'aime, founded by Inès de Franclieu, promotes admiration for the sexed body and its purpose in love. The organization has conducted over 1,800 school interventions, teaching children to respect their and others' bodies.CLER and AFC programs
The CLER, present in about sixty departments, offers workshops for young people of all ages, with interveners trained for 160 hours. The AFC has also created educational web series like Le cours de la vie and Grandir & Aimer to help children and parents navigate these topics together.
