France's aging population grows rapidly

France's population is aging, and the trend is speeding up. By 2050, the number of elderly people who have lost their ability to live independently is expected to increase sharply.

Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur faces a unique challenge

In the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, the proportion of elderly people is already higher than the national average, making the issue of aging a particularly important concern for the area.

Social and solidarity economy offers a new approach

France Active Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, an organization that supports responsible businesses, highlights the potential of the Social and Solidarity Economy (ESS) and committed entrepreneurship in addressing the challenges of aging. This approach focuses on creating ethical, economically viable solutions that support elderly people and promote meaningful employment.

New program aims to support elderly independence

To address these challenges, France Active Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and its partners are launching the Bien Vieillir 2026 program. This initiative supports projects that aim to preserve the autonomy of elderly people through prevention, support, and other services.

Support and funding opportunities for participants

The program offers personalized assistance, training on funding plans, and meetings with partners who can help develop the social impact of the projects. Two prizes, each worth 2,000 euros, are also available: the Heartfelt Prize and the Innovation Prize.

Call to action for sustainable aging solutions

France Active Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur encourages individuals and organizations to join the initiative and contribute to building sustainable solutions for aging in the region. More information on how to apply is available on their website.
