A former restaurant site on 31 Rue Briçonnet, which once housed La Cabane de Romulus and Le Tatoué Toqué, now serves Thai cuisine in a vaulted room with beautifully restored stone walls, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere. The restaurant also offers a quiet terrace for diners. Open since January 2026, the establishment aims to celebrate Thai specialties while blending them with French culinary elements, such as roast duck spring rolls and chocolate fondue with red fruits. This fusion approach reflects the owners’ desire to bring together the rich flavors of both cuisines. This new restaurant differs from another venture by its founders, Le Bistrot Thaï, located just next door on Rue Bretonneau. That earlier restaurant was well-received in 2023 and helped establish the team’s reputation in the area. The lunch menu at this new location includes an appetizer and main course for 21€90, with an option to add dessert for 25€90, and evening meals start at 32€. The first course features excellent vegetable spring rolls with a sweet and delicious sauce, while the main course consists of crispy salmon with a house sauce and fragrant jasmine rice. The salmon is described as slightly spicy, tender, and well-cooked. Some of the dishes, such as the curry chicken or basil stir-fried beef, may be slightly spicy, offering a range of flavor experiences. The service is noted for being attentive, efficient, and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. In the evening, the menu offers creative options, including vegetarian dishes made with ingredients like papaya, lemon, tomatoes, and peanuts. The restaurant is seen as a high-quality addition to the city center’s existing Thai cuisine offerings, providing a diverse and flavorful menu at a reasonable price. Its combination of French and Thai influences, along with its welcoming atmosphere, makes it a promising new spot for both locals and visitors.
