Bill Belichick, 74, has strongly denied rumors that his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, 25, is seeking a behind-the-scenes role with the University of North Carolina (UNC) football team. The New England Patriots’ former head coach and current UNC head coach dismissed the claims as “ridiculous” during a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal. The speculation arose after reports indicated that Belichick had asked UNC staff to copy Hudson on emails related to his personal appearances. However, he clarified that Hudson has no official role in the football program, and the university has confirmed she holds no football-related responsibilities. Belichick explained that the email in question was a routine request to coordinate his personal appearances and was unrelated to the university’s operations. He claimed the message was later leaked and misinterpreted, leading to the false impression that Hudson was involved in his work at UNC. “The way the story was picked up was a long way from that,” he said. “Like, 'She’s trying to be the general manager of the team,' and it’s so ridiculous.” He emphasized that Hudson’s involvement is limited to personal matters, such as scheduling and media management, not UNC football. The couple’s relationship has drawn attention due to their nearly 50-year age gap and Hudson’s background as a beauty pageant contestant and former cheerleader. Belichick and Hudson publicly confirmed their relationship in June 2024, though they reportedly began dating the previous year. They are said to have met on a flight in 2021, when Belichick signed Hudson’s textbook. Hudson manages Belichick’s media presence and real estate portfolio through TCE Rights Management LLC and serves as Chief Operating Officer for Belichick Productions, his personal brand and production company. Belichick has been open about the nature of Hudson’s role, stating she does not manage any aspects of his work at UNC. Instead, she focuses on his personal brand and business ventures. The couple’s relationship has drawn scrutiny, particularly after a viral moment during a CBS Sunday Morning interview, where Hudson abruptly interrupted a question about how they met. Belichick previously dated Linda Holliday, the executive director of the Bill Belichick Foundation, for 16 years before their split in 2023. He is also the father of three children from his previous marriage to Debby Belichick, which lasted from 1977 to 2006. Before dating Belichick, Hudson was in a relationship with 64-year-old healthcare executive Joshua L. Zuckerman.
