The Audio Technica AT-LP70xBT vinyl turntable is currently available for 249.00 € at online retailers Darty.com and Son-Video.com, according to a recent report. This turntable was highlighted as the best affordable option in a laboratory comparison of eight models, making it a popular choice for those looking to enjoy vinyl records without a high price tag. Designed for the general public, the AT-LP70xBT combines a solid technical foundation with some modern features, such as Bluetooth connectivity, which allows users to stream music wirelessly to speakers or headphones. The turntable is described as fully automatic, meaning it can lift the needle, play the record, and return it to its resting place with the push of a button. It also includes a range of settings that make it user-friendly, while maintaining a build quality that is considered honest and technically sound. Despite being aimed at novice users, the AT-LP70xBT is not seen as a basic or low-end product—it offers a good balance between simplicity and performance. However, the turntable does have some drawbacks. It lacks precision at the extremes of the audio spectrum, meaning high and low frequencies may not be as clear as on more advanced models. It also has a higher "crying and flickering index," which refers to unwanted noise or distortion that can occur during playback. Additionally, its construction is considered relatively simple, which may not satisfy more experienced audiophiles. Despite these shortcomings, the Audio Technica AT-LP70xBT is praised for its overall balanced sound and accessible settings, making it a strong option for those new to vinyl or looking for a reliable, affordable turntable. Its combination of functionality and value has made it a standout choice in its price range.
