At IFA 2026 in Berlin, SwitchBot unveiled two new products with distinct purposes. The first, called the MindClip IA, is a small, lightweight clip designed to record and organize everything said during the day. It can be attached to clothing, a jacket, or a bag strap and weighs just 16.8 grams. The device offers over 20 hours of continuous recording, 64 GB of local storage, and a range of up to 3 meters. It uses voice recognition to distinguish between speakers and separate participants, allowing for more accurate transcriptions. Once recordings are transferred—either automatically or manually—they are processed by large language models like ChatGPT and Gemini to extract transcriptions, summaries, and tasks. Users can organize everything in the app through various views, such as chronological order or weekly summaries, and sync with calendars like Apple or Google, or even with an E-Ink dashboard from SwitchBot. A feature called Ask AI allows users to search conversation history in natural language to find tasks or promises made by others. Through the SwitchBot OpenAPI CLI, these transcriptions can also be used as context for other AI tools like Codex or OpenClaw. Privacy is emphasized with features like a light indicator showing recording status and certifications like EN 18031, ISO 27001, and ISO 27701, along with end-to-end encryption. The MindClip IA will be available starting September 3 for 119.99 euros, with 300 free minutes of transcription per month and subscription plans ranging from 17.99 euros per month to 249.99 euros per year. SwitchBot also introduced a more traditional product with its Combo Serrure Ultra Max Vision Pro, a comprehensive home automation solution for doors. This set includes the new Ultra Max Lock, the Keypad Vision Pro, and a Mini Hub compatible with the Matter standard. The entire system can be installed on an existing door cylinder without replacing or drilling into the door. The lock features a brushless UltraDrive motor that reaches 160 rpm—3.2 times faster than the previous model—with a claimed unlocking time of 1.1 seconds in Max mode and a rotational force greater than 9 kg. A silent mode is available for late-night entries. The Keypad Vision Pro adds advanced security features, including 3D facial recognition, non-contact palm vein recognition, fingerprint scanning, access codes, and NFC card support. Combined with the app, voice commands, or geolocation, this gives a total of 19 different unlocking methods. The lock has a main battery of 4200 mAh, which can last up to 9 months, and a backup CR123A battery for about 500 additional cycles. It also includes a residual energy recovery function for emergency unlocking. Biometric data are processed and stored locally, not on third-party platforms, and all communications are encrypted using AES-128. The included Mini Hub allows integration with ecosystems like Apple Home or Home Assistant. SwitchBot claims compatibility with 99% of European locks. Pre-orders for the Combo Serrure Ultra Max Vision Pro begin on September 3 at 339.99 euros, placing it in the high-end segment of smart locks. An extended Max Service warranty, available during the launch period and later for 24.90 euros, covers only the lock. Both products reflect SwitchBot's expansion into both personal digital organization and high-end home automation. The MindClip IA targets users who want to capture and manage their daily conversations efficiently, while the Combo Serrure Ultra Max Vision Pro is aimed at those seeking advanced security and seamless integration with smart home systems. These new offerings highlight the company's effort to cater to a wide range of consumer needs, from productivity tools to smart home solutions. SwitchBot's new products are set to be available in early September, with the MindClip IA priced at 119.99 euros and the Combo Serrure Ultra Max Vision Pro at 339.99 euros. Both products are positioned as premium options in their respective markets, offering advanced features and robust security measures. The release of these products marks a significant step for SwitchBot in diversifying its product line and reinforcing its presence in the smart home and personal assistant technology sectors.
