EDF, a major electricity provider in France, is celebrating its 80th anniversary and La French Week with a special promotion. In partnership with Amazon, the company is offering a 120-euro reimbursement to new customers who sign up for an electricity contract. This offer is available to Amazon Prime members who do not already have an EDF contract and is limited to 10,000 rebates. The promotion runs from Tuesday, September 22, to Monday, September 28, 2026. The reimbursement will be applied to the first cyclic bill if the customer is billed every two months, or to the annual regularization bill for those on a monthly billing plan. To qualify, individuals must be Amazon Prime members, of legal age, and reside in Metropolitan France (excluding Corsica). They must also not already be EDF customers on the first day of the promotion. Those who are new to Prime can still sign up until September 27, 2026, to ensure their membership status is valid for the offer. The discount is limited to one per customer number and delivery point and cannot be combined with other ongoing EDF promotions. The process involves signing up for an EDF electricity contract through the Amazon Prime subscription, without using a promo code. Both the EDF contract and the Prime subscription must remain active at the time of payment for the discount to be applied. This ensures that the reimbursement is processed correctly. The promotion aims to encourage new customers to switch to EDF while also promoting Amazon Prime memberships. The offer excludes two of EDF’s market plans: Zen Online and the Blue Tariff. This means customers interested in these specific contracts will not be eligible for the reimbursement. EDF has specified that the promotion is intended to attract new customers and highlight its anniversary celebration alongside La French Week, a national event that promotes French culture and products.
