The prefecture of Haute-Saône has announced an additional 636,000 euros to support 205 farms, with a focus on young and new farmers, as well as those in vulnerable sectors like vegetable farming and fruit growing. This follows over one billion euros in national-level support already pledged.

Agricultural diesel aid reopened

Fertilizer aid simplified

Farmers can now submit purchase orders for simple nitrogen fertilizers before paying invoices, streamlining the process for receiving aid. This measure is part of broader efforts to ease administrative burdens on farmers affected by recent challenges.

Tax exemptions for crop losses

Farmers in Haute-Saône who suffered crop losses due to extreme weather events are receiving automatic tax exemptions on unbuilt properties (TFNB), totaling 2.4 million euros. The deadline for property tax payments has also been extended to November 15, 2026.

Improved crop insurance clarity

The prefecture plans to release an updated map of observed crop losses by mid-October, following satellite data analysis. This is intended to improve transparency and provide farmers with clearer grounds for contesting compensation decisions if needed.

Two new financial tools will help farmers with liquidity issues. One offers zero-interest loans up to 50,000 euros, with the state covering interest costs. Another is designed for farmers established within the last five years, including potential aid of up to 2,500 euros per farm.
