OUIGO introduces OUIGOSWAP campaign

OUIGO has launched a campaign for its platform OUIGOSWAP, which allows users to buy and resell train tickets with discounts of up to 50 percent on 70 destinations, excluding Paris-Brussels. The platform is described as offering suspiciously good deals, prompting the campaign to highlight its features and benefits.

Campaign features counterfeit products

To support the campaign, OUIGO has created a collection of counterfeit derivative products, such as hats, sweaters, and t-shirts, featuring logos with deliberately misspelled versions of the brand name, like OUIGLO, OUIJO, OUIGGO, or UIGO. These items are designed to mimic official merchandise but are clearly not authentic.

Setting and presentation of the campaign

The campaign presents these counterfeit items in a recreated market setting, where they appear to be sold on the fly. This approach is meant to draw attention to the platform by contrasting fake products with the real, secure OUIGOSWAP service.

Campaign format and duration

The campaign includes video capsules and photographs that use the style of hidden camera reports and field investigations. It runs from October 12 to November 1, with content available on digital out-of-home (DOOH) displays, online displays, and social networks.
