The manga Witch Enforcer is set to be published in France by Vega Editions, starting this month. The publication will feature the entire story in a single 500-page omnibus, which will be printed in a format of 137x186mm. The design of the book will follow a graphical charter similar to a deluxe grimoire, a term used to describe a beautifully bound book of magical spells or knowledge. It will be sold for 19€ beginning October 23. This marks the first French publication for the mangaka Shun Akagi, who has been creating stories in Japan since his professional debut in 2019. The original Japanese title of the manga is Majo no Shikkounin, and it was published digitally in 2023-2024 in the magazine Shônen Jump+, which is published by the well-known Japanese publisher Shûeisha. The story of Witch Enforcer is set in a world where witches left the Moon 150 years ago and came to Earth. Their advanced technology and magical abilities contributed to a major advancement in human civilization. However, as the witches interact more with humans, some of them begin committing crimes and causing incidents. The narrative follows Natalia, one of the "enforcers"—witches who are responsible for punishing those who break the rules. Her next assignment is to deal with a witch who has cast a strange curse on a young boy. The manga blends elements of fantasy, mystery, and action, as Natalia investigates the curse and uncovers the witch behind it. The story explores the complex relationship between humans and witches, as well as the moral dilemmas faced by the enforcers who are tasked with maintaining order. The setting is rich with magical elements and intricate world-building, which has been praised for its creativity and depth. Vega Editions' decision to publish Witch Enforcer in France highlights growing interest in international manga and the increasing demand for diverse storytelling in the European market. The release of this omnibus version is expected to attract both longtime fans of the series and new readers who are drawn to its unique blend of fantasy and intrigue.
