Geely Auto France, launched on April 28, 2026, has already achieved more than 1,000 vehicle registrations in less than five months, according to data from Dataneo and AAA Data. The brand entered the French market with a range of electrified vehicles, including a hybrid SUV called the Geely Starray EM-i Super Hybrid and fully electric models such as the Geely E5 and Geely E2. As of the end of September 2026, Geely Auto France reported 1,002 registrations, with about 600 of these being the Geely Starray EM-i Super Hybrid. Approximately 200 units of the Geely E5, a 100% electric SUV, and 200 units of the Geely E2, a 100% electric city car, were also registered. Deliveries of the Geely E2 began at the end of August. The rapid growth in registrations is supported by the expansion of Geely’s dealership network. In less than five months, the brand signed agreements for 66 sales points across France, surpassing its initial goal of opening 70 dealerships in the first year. This is part of a broader plan to reach 70 dealerships by 2026, 120 by 2027, and 170 by 2028. The brand has set specific requirements for dealers, such as a showroom of at least 250 square meters and a dedicated salesperson for Geely. Well-known distribution groups, such as Amplitude, Moretto, BYmyCAR, and Como, have already joined Geely, and the company has also partnered with CA Auto Bank to support its commercial expansion. Geely’s long-term goals in France include selling 6,000 vehicles by the end of 2026, with a gradual increase in market share: 1% by 2027, 2% by 2028, and 5% by 2030. In the first half of 2026, Chinese car brands accounted for about 4.7% of the French market, or more than 41,000 registrations. Thomas Léonard, Geely Auto France’s Commercial and Network Development Director, noted that the 1,000 registration milestone reflects the brand’s structured approach to entering the market, including its sales and after-sales network, and the dedication of its team. To celebrate its success and showcase future models, Geely Auto France invited the public to Hall 7.1 of the Paris Motor Show 2026. Guillaume Calvar, the Marketing and Communications Director, said that this milestone is just the beginning and that the brand plans to increase its visibility further through the Paris Motor Show 2026 and other initiatives.
