Dance production reimagines the knightess

Angelica Ardiot’s new dance production, La Chevaleresse Angel.ey, reinterprets the figure of the knight to highlight the role of the knightess, a figure present in the Middle Ages but often overlooked by history. The performance explores themes of identity and self-discovery through a mystical character known as the Knightess Angel·ey.

Performance blends physical dance and surreal visuals

The production takes place in a space-time beyond conventional reality, following a quest for territories. The Knightess Angel·ey embarks on a journey of self-discovery, exploring her territory and the environment beyond human perception. The performance features a fantastic landscape and combines physical dance with scenographic exploration of the self.

Artists collaborate in a dreamlike setting

Angelica Ardiot, along with her partner Katy, evolves, transforms, merges, and blends within a dreamlike, transgenre, fluid, and hybrid setting. The production is supported by dark synthesizers, melancholic voices, and electronic machines, creating a breathless and mysterious world.

Production team includes multiple collaborators

The production is conceived, choreographed, interpreted, and voiced by Angelica Ardiot. The musical composition and interpretation are by Catherine Cros, with text co-written by Ardiot and Cros. Camilo Sarasa Molina serves as assistant choreographer and costume designer, while Amalia Jaulin is responsible for scenography.
