Drug trafficking suspected in Béziers

On Friday, October 16, police in Béziers received information suggesting a possible drug trafficking operation was taking place in a building in the city center. This prompted them to begin monitoring the area closely.

Surveillance reveals suspicious activity

During their observation, officers noted multiple people entering and exiting the building, raising concerns about illegal activity. These movements were seen as indicative of a possible drug distribution operation.

Suspect found with cocaine

Authorities decided to check a man who had recently left the building. A search of him revealed a small package of cocaine, known as a "parachute" in drug trafficking terms, confirming their suspicions of illegal drug activity.

Police raid the apartment

Based on the evidence found, police decided to conduct a raid on the apartment where the transactions were believed to be taking place. They used a battering ram to gain entry and discovered a man holding a loaded revolver.

Arrest made without resistance

The man was instructed to lower his weapon and surrender without resistance. Also present in the apartment was an 18-year-old woman, who was identified as his girlfriend.
