Forza Horizon 6, released in May for Xbox Series X|S and PC, initially received positive feedback but has since faded from the spotlight, according to recent reports. Playground Games, the developer behind the game, has acknowledged the need to improve its communication with the player community. The studio stated it has listened to player concerns and now promises more open dialogue about the game's future. Despite this, the studio continues to update the game regularly, introducing new monthly playlists divided into weekly seasons that offer challenges and vehicles to unlock. Recently, a temporary collaboration with 7-Eleven was added to the game. Some members of the community, however, feel the studio has been too quiet about addressing player requests and future plans. In response, Playground Games said, "We are reading all your comments on Forza Horizon 6 and we realize that we have not communicated with you as much as we could have." The studio claims it is working on changes related to both content and communication methods. As of now, no official date has been set for the PS5 version of the game. In August, the developers confirmed that the PS5 version was still planned for 2026, though no specific date has been announced as of October. This release is seen as an important challenge for Microsoft, as the previous installment, Forza Horizon 5, was expected to sell over five million copies on PS5, despite launching more than four years after the Xbox version. More details about the game's future are expected to be shared in the coming weeks.
