On Monday, October 5, a peaceful demonstration took place in front of the Clemenceau high school in Montpellier, with several hundred young people gathering in a calm and organized manner. The event featured flags, posters, songs, and some dance steps, and participants gradually dispersed throughout the morning. Middle school students were allowed to pass through the crowd to reach their school, and the atmosphere remained peaceful with no incidents reported. Parents were also present, with some joining the gathering to express concerns after events on Friday. One mother shared that she no longer has "confidence in the police" and explained that the group was there to "protect our children." By the end of the morning, no police presence was noted in front of Clemenceau high school. The young people announced their intention to continue their demonstration at noon, targeting the rectorate, which is the local education authority. A blockade was also planned for the following day, Tuesday, October 6. In front of the Joffre high school, the atmosphere was similarly calm, with no signs of conflict or disruption. As part of the mobilization efforts, a popular cafeteria is planned for Thursday, October 8. This event aims to bring people together in a more relaxed setting. Mohammed, a first-year student at Clemenceau high school and one of the organizers, defended the idea of a collective meal, stating, "Nothing is better than good food to bring people together." The planned cafeteria reflects the organizers’ desire to foster unity and community spirit through shared experiences and simple pleasures.
