Student protest continues in Montpellier

On Tuesday, October 13, a large group of students and supporters marched through the Peyrou in Montpellier for the third time in a week. Maëlle, a spokesperson for students at the Clemenceau High School, led the demonstration with a megaphone, guiding chants that included the phrase "What we want is chairs and tables."

Protesters reject claims of fading momentum

Maëlle emphasized that some people are trying to suggest the movement is losing strength, but the protests continue. She said participants remain committed even if their voices are tired, and that the group will not back down until the government provides a real response to their demands.

Union member sees progress in the movement

Laurent Blasco, a high school employee and member of the CGT union, said the mobilization is not slowing down and that there is a sense of progress and possible victory. He pointed out that school conditions have worsened over the past thirty years and that the movement will persist until the government shows equal determination.

Yellow vest protester criticizes funding priorities

Martine, a participant in the Yellow Vest protests from the Près d'Arène area, expressed frustration with government policies that she believes favor the private sector over public services. She argued that this approach is unfair and that young people are justified in their anger, as their future is being compromised by these decisions.
