Lyon announces artworks for Fête des Lumières

The City of Lyon has revealed the 27 artworks that will be showcased during the upcoming Fête des Lumières, a festival of light that will run from December 5 to December 8, 2026. The selected artworks will be projected and displayed during the event, including new creations, unexpected surprises, and the return of some past favorites.

Fête des Lumières includes new and returning artworks

Lyon Capitale, the city's official cultural organization, provided a live preview of the artworks that will be featured in the festival. The selection includes a mix of new pieces and returning works, offering both familiar and fresh experiences for attendees.

Fête des Lumières supports solidarity initiative

This year’s Fête des Lumières will include a solidarity initiative, with donations collected during the Lumignons du Cœur event benefiting the artist-clown association Vivre aux éclats. This association has been providing artistic and emotional support to patients in hospitals, Ehpad (residential care homes for the elderly), and medicalized care facilities for over 30 years.

Vivre aux éclats brings joy and humanity to care settings

Vivre aux éclats aims to bring "humanity and joy" to those in care, encouraging emotional expression and fostering human connections. The association includes artists from 14 different nationalities, reflecting a diverse team dedicated to its mission.
