Call for submissions opens for Lyon's 25th festival

The City of Lyon has begun accepting applications for the 25th edition of its annual summer festival, Tout l’monde dehors, which will run from June 29 to August 29, 2027. The event invites artistic groups and associations to submit proposals for open-air performances and activities across the city’s nine districts.

Submissions deadline and event details

Associations and artistic collectives have until December 8, 2026, to submit their proposals. The festival will feature a diverse range of activities, including music, cinema, theater, and dance, with a focus on accessibility for all audiences. Projects can be held in public spaces like squares, gardens, and streets.

Festival aims to highlight local culture and inclusivity

The city aims to showcase emerging talents and the local cultural scene while encouraging interaction among residents. The 2026 edition attracted over 70,000 people to more than 200 events. For the 25th anniversary, the city plans to expand the festival’s formats and better coordinate it with other summer events in Lyon.

Themes and accessibility emphasized in new edition

The 2027 edition will include themes such as ecological transition, inclusion, cultural diversity, and equality of rights. The city encourages initiatives that make events accessible to families, seniors, and people with disabilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all.

Application process and next steps

Organizations must submit applications through the city’s aid portal by December 8, 2026. Those not requesting funding can email their proposals to tlmd.messagerie@mairie-lyon.fr. Selected projects will be reviewed in January 2027, followed by preparation meetings in the spring. Organizers will also need to complete administrative procedures and participate in site visits.
