Samsung unveils 8K TV with advanced features

In 2025, Samsung introduced the QN900F TV series, offering 8K resolution instead of the more common 4K. This model includes an anti-reflective treatment previously used on OLED screens, applied to a Neo QLED LCD panel that performs well in bright environments.

New AI processor enhances content scaling

The Samsung TQ65QN900F model uses an NQ8 AI Gen2 processor that scales non-8K content to the higher resolution. It is currently listed at 2,649 euros on Son-Vidéo.com, with a discount code reducing the price to 2,384.10 euros.

Design inspired by The Frame series

The TQ65QN900F features a beveled aluminum frame and a clip system for mounting, with adjustable width and height to fit different furniture setups. Unlike previous models, it lacks the One Connect housing, integrating all connectivity to the back of the panel.

LCD panel and brightness capabilities

The TV uses a VA-type LCD panel with a Quantum Dot filter and Mini LED backlight. While it doesn’t completely eliminate blooming around bright objects, it provides strong overall performance and supports HDR10+ Adaptive and Gaming formats.

Gaming features and connectivity

The TV includes four HDMI 2.1 ports, supporting 4K at 165 Hz from a PC and 120 Hz from consoles. It also offers VRR, FreeSync Premium Pro, and Gaming Hub for cloud gaming, with a Tizen-based interface that includes AI-driven features like instant subtitle translation.

Sound system and compatibility

The TV has a 4.2.2 channel sound system with 70 watts, supporting Dolby Atmos and OTS+ technology for spatial immersion. It can synchronize with Samsung sound bars via the Q-Symphony function, enhancing the audio experience.

Position in the 8K market

Despite its 8K resolution, which is still rare, the TQ65QN900F uses the NQ8 AI Gen2 processor and lacks some features reserved for higher-end models. It is targeted at tech enthusiasts seeking a bright living room setup with advanced backlighting and glare reduction.
