The UAV Show 2026, a trade fair centered on unmanned aerial vehicles (drones), is set to occur on October 7 and 8, 2026. Organized by Bordeaux Technowest, the event has grown in size, with a larger exhibition area than in previous years. In recent editions, the fair has placed increasing emphasis on defense-related topics, mirroring the rising importance of drones in modern warfare. Around 60% of the exhibitors now come from the military sector, highlighting the role drones have played in conflicts such as those in Ukraine and the Middle East. During the event, several roundtable discussions will take place. One session, titled "Droned Army: Reality or Fantasy?" will be held on October 7 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM. Another session, "Drones and Electronic Warfare: Operating in a Jammed Environment," will take place the same day from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Additional talks will address European regulations on dual-use drones—those that can be used for both civilian and military purposes—and strategies for countering drones in hybrid warfare scenarios. The discussions will be broadcast live on JumpSeat, the YouTube channel of Aerobuzz.fr, as well as on Twitch, allowing a wider audience to participate remotely. This accessibility aims to bring together professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts interested in the evolving landscape of drone technology and its implications for both defense and civil applications. The UAV Show 2026 continues to serve as a key platform for showcasing advancements in drone technology, discussing policy challenges, and exploring the future of aerial systems. As the use of drones expands across various sectors, the event reflects the growing need for dialogue on their impact, regulation, and potential risks.
