At IFA 2026, Razer, a well-known name in gaming peripherals, has made a strategic move by shifting its focus from gaming accessories to electric scooters. In partnership with the Chinese manufacturer NIU, Razer has launched a special edition of the FQiX model, blending the brand’s identity with urban mobility. The FQiX x Razer Special Edition comes in two versions: the FQiX 150 and the FQiX 300. Both models feature a 5-inch screen, Bluetooth speakers, smartphone connectivity, GPS, and anti-theft features, making them more than just transportation devices—they are also connected gadgets aimed at tech-savvy users. The FQiX 150 is equivalent to a 50 cm³ scooter, with a top speed of 45 km/h and a range of up to 55 kilometers on a single battery. The FQiX 300, on the other hand, is more powerful, matching a 125 cm³ scooter, offering a top speed of 80 km/h and a range of up to 110 kilometers. The design of both models reflects Razer’s branding, with black livery and green accents, but they do not include typical gaming features like RGB lighting or dedicated gaming systems. This marks a departure from Razer’s usual product lineup, focusing instead on practical, tech-integrated mobility solutions. The limited edition series is available in 2500 copies, with the FQiX 150 starting at 2599 euros for the version with one battery, and the model with two batteries priced up to 3099 euros. Pre-orders are open in Europe until October 11, 2026, with deliveries expected in the fourth quarter. This move signals Razer’s expansion into new markets, leveraging its brand reputation to enter the growing electric scooter industry. In addition to the scooter launch, Razer has introduced the Prio, a compact mobile controller designed for nomadic gamers. The Prio aims to provide a portable and versatile gaming experience, allowing users to play on the go. This product reflects Razer’s continued interest in gaming, even as it diversifies into other tech areas.
