Following the annual FNEF (National Federation of Film Distributors) Day in Deauville, where distributors present their film line-ups to cinema exhibitors, Cine Group, in partnership with Club AlloCiné, organized the first edition of Preview on Tuesday, October 6. This event aimed to introduce upcoming film images to content creators, allowing distributors to showcase their films and campaigns directly to these creators before public release. Pathé revealed images of several upcoming releases, including Albert Dupontel's Il faut brûler maman, set for November 11, the animated film Ally by Bong Joon Ho, Bunker by Florian Zeller featuring Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem, Karma by Guillaume Canet, scheduled for October 21, and Le Diable noir by Ladj Ly, planned for October 13, 2027. Le Diable noir is an adaptation of a comic book about Thomas Alexandre Davy de La Pailleterie Dumas, the father of Alexandre Dumas, and stars Théo Christine, François Civil, Vincent Cassel, and Omar Sy. Gaumont presented a range of films, including Le Roi du Game by Éric Judor on October 21, L'Affaire Marie-Claire with Charlotte Gainsbourg and Cécile de France, and Un bon petit soldat by Stéphane Brizé on November 25. The 2027 lineup includes En haut de la pile by Louis-Julien Petit, Le Mal est fait by François Ozon with Pio Marmaï, À double tour with Baptiste Lecaplain and José Garcia, and the animated film Dans les nuages featuring Alain Chabat and Céline Dion, who will also perform an exclusive song. 5h48, place des Martyrs by Franck Dubosc and La Neuvième Rotation with Alice Belaïdi, Kim Higelin, Abou Sangaré, and Abraham Wapler were also highlighted. L'Affaire Marie-Claire, set for November 4, centers on the 1972 trial of Marie-Claire Chevalier, a pivotal moment in the history of the right to abortion in France. Apollo Films, specializing in comedies, presented Les SEGPA 3, with a trailer generating laughter among attendees. The film follows former students who become teachers, with Ichem Bougheraba transferred to the Hauts-de-France. Other comedies included Nachav by Vincent Scalera and upcoming films such as Allez ma fille by Chloé Jouannet, La Dalle by Kévin Debonne, and Gilles United by Grégoire Ludig. Studio TF1 concluded the event with presentations of Moulin by László Nemes with Gilles Lellouche, set for release by the end of October, and Camembert starring Kristin Scott Thomas and Panayotis Pascot, scheduled for November 18. The thriller L'Homme qui s'envola by Olivier Ducray, featuring Yvan Attal and Charlotte Gainsbourg, is set for December 30. Upcoming releases include Trois c'est bien by Frédéric Quiring in February 2027 and Roxie au milieu by Jennifer Devoldere in March 2027, as well as Starlette by Florent Bernard and Montjoie by Noé Debré. The shift in how people consume cinema information has prompted distributors to engage directly with content creators, providing early access to images and generating interest in upcoming releases. This strategy complements traditional media and social networks, with content creators serving as an additional relay to reach audiences. However, content creators do not replace film journalists, as the two categories serve different functions. The Preview event marks an initial meeting between distributors and content creators, with the ambition to continue such interactions around upcoming film releases.
