Event details and organizers

The City of Pamandzi is hosting a breast cancer awareness day on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 8 am to 3 pm. The event is organized by the Coordination Center - Breast Cancer Screening of Mayotte, with support from the Regional Health Agency (ARS), the Mayotte Social Security Fund (CSSM), and the prefecture.

Activities and schedule

The event will begin with a free 2-kilometer obstacle race starting at 8 am at the Labattoir stadium, with participants expected to arrive at the Pamandzi stadium. Attendees are encouraged to wear pink, the symbolic color of the campaign.

Family-friendly events and health services

At the Pamandzi stadium, games and activities will be offered for children. Throughout the day, a health village will be set up to provide information, awareness, and screening activities. A small meal will also be provided on site.

Scheduled events and community focus

Scheduled activities include official speeches at 11 am, a demonstration of mini-judo at 11:30 am, chigoma at 1 pm, and a fitness session at 2 pm to conclude the event. The organizers aim to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of screening while bringing together the community in a sporting and convivial event. Families, friend groups, and the general public are invited to participate in this solidarity-focused day.
