New gaming headset released

Logitech has introduced the G Pro X3 LightSpeed, an updated version of its G Pro X2 LightSpeed gaming headset. The new model retains most of the technical features of its predecessor, such as 50 mm graphene transducers and the same connectivity options, but includes improvements in battery life and microphone design.

Enhanced features and pricing

The G Pro X3 LightSpeed now offers 70 hours of battery life, up from the previous model. It also includes a redesigned microphone, and Logitech has set a recommended price of 259.99 euros, which is about ten euros less than the X2 LightSpeed's initial price.

Design changes and materials

The headset follows the same layout as the X2 LightSpeed, with a metal headband covered in synthetic leather and memory foam cushions. The cables now have a black color on the white version, which is the main visual difference. Other design elements, such as the sliding headband and earcup structure, remain unchanged.

Controls and microphone features

The controls on the G Pro X3 LightSpeed are the same as before, including a power switch, volume knob, microphone switch, and Bluetooth button. The microphone is still removable and uses a jack connector, with a memory foam pole and windscreen to reduce background noise.

Sound quality and comfort

The headset delivers rich, detailed sound with clear vocals and good treble clarity. The synthetic leather cushions provide a warmer sound, while the velvet cushions offer a more open and less bass-heavy experience. The overall sound enhances in-game audio with good spatial awareness.

Microphone performance and settings

The new microphone records at 48 kHz and 16 bits, with a frequency range from 75 Hz to 20 kHz for more natural voice reproduction. It is clearer than the previous model, though it may pick up too much background noise. Adjustments can be made using the G Hub software.

Software and availability

The G Pro X3 LightSpeed is configured through Logitech G Hub software, which includes equalizers and noise reduction tools. Users can save settings in the headset or access them via the Logitech G mobile app. The headset is available in black, white, and magenta, and has been on sale since October 8.
