New DLC features revealed
Pearl Abyss has shared the full list of new features for the Crimson Desert DLC, titled Charting the Unknown. The expansion includes a new region called the Great Sea of Pywel, which players can explore both on the surface and underwater.Exploration and combat mechanics
Players will be able to dive underwater, navigate their own ship to reach different islands, and establish new strongholds with their companions after defeating enemy forces. This adds a new layer of exploration and strategy to the game.Character story development
The DLC continues the adventures of Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka, with their stories developing through new episodes. These episodes introduce new allies and revisit old threats, expanding the narrative of the game.Romance and housing system
A new romance mechanic allows Kliff to court several characters, form romantic relationships, and even marry them. Players can visit Kliff's romantic interests at the camp of the Gray Mane, and the housing system is enhanced to allow full customization of homes and even liberated castles.Business management and new challenges
The DLC introduces a business management system where players can rent facilities and assign companions and equipment to sell goods more effectively. New bosses and enemies are also added, including a boss rush challenge where players face the most powerful bosses of Pywel in succession.Release date confirmed
