Acrobatic show explores memory and identity

TRAXXx is an acrobatic performance that examines how the body remembers movement and how that memory shapes personal identity and human connection. The show questions traditional ideas of legacy, aiming instead to create temporary, fleeting impressions rather than permanent ones.

Acrobatics as dialogue across time

The production uses acrobatic movements as a way to connect past, present, and future. The acrobats' bodies are portrayed as living memories, expressing ideas and emotions that go beyond spoken language.

Artists and collaborators involved

The show is created by Compagnie CirkVOST, with contributions from multiple artists and designers. It features a team of acrobats and includes input from musicians, choreographers, costume designers, and lighting and sound specialists.

Support and funding sources

TRAXXx has received support from numerous organizations across France and Portugal, including cultural institutions, regional councils, and funding bodies. It has also been awarded the 2025 TDC Fund "Grand Format" award.

Residence and festival schedule

The production has planned residences and performances across several locations and dates, with its creation taking place at the CIRCA festival in October 2026.
