Chris Appleton, a well-known celebrity hairdresser and contestant on the BBC One show Strictly Come Dancing, has hinted that his famous friend and client, Kim Kardashian, might attend a live episode of the show to support him. Appleton, 43, was paired with professional dancer Amy Dowden for the launch episode of the popular dance competition. He will be competing against other celebrities, including singer Delta Goodrem, former Love Island winner Dani Dyer, and ex-England footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips. When asked if Kardashian, who has featured Appleton on her reality TV show The Kardashians, might show up at a live episode, Appleton said, "Who knows? Watch this space, but I don’t know, anything could happen." He explained that only two tickets are available per episode and that he had no idea whether she would be able to attend. However, Kardashian has previously shown her support for Appleton, including posting on social media and sending him a bouquet of flowers after he was announced as a contestant. Kardashian's support has not gone unnoticed by Appleton, who praised her as "so sweet" and "such an amazing person throughout my whole career." He described her gesture of sending flowers as "so kind of her to do, she didn’t have to." Additionally, Kardashian commented on one of Appleton’s social media posts with the message "break a leg," which he called "so nice of her to support me because she’s always been so supportive." Appleton noted that her support "just says so much about who she is," and that he was "very lucky to work with her." Appleton is known for styling some of the world’s most famous faces, including Sofía Vergara, Ariana Grande, and Katy Perry. He has been recognized as a "Hair Star" by Vogue UK and has appeared on the covers and in major features of publications like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and Marie Claire. Appleton will return to Strictly Come Dancing in Saturday’s first live show, which will air on BBC One and iPlayer at 6:15pm.
