Chris Appleton, a renowned celebrity hair stylist and recent contestant on the British dance competition Strictly Come Dancing, recently shared a humorous Instagram video of Kim Kardashian judging his dance moves in a style that mimics the show's format. In the clip, Appleton, 43, performs in a parking lot while Kim, 45, sits in the backseat of her car, holding a card that reads "2 points." The video features the familiar Strictly Come Dancing theme music as Appleton admits, "It doesn't look as good today," while Kim critiques his performance, saying, "For that, for not being good under pressure, just because you're, y'know, you." The video comes as Appleton makes his debut on Strictly Come Dancing, where he is partnered with professional dancer Amy Dowden. Appleton and Kim have been close friends and professional collaborators for years, with their relationship beginning when Kim reached out to Appleton for a hair appointment. Kim has long been a supporter of Appleton's career, attending events and offering encouragement. In addition to working with Kim, Appleton has styled the hair of numerous celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Katy Perry, and Ariana Grande, for whom he is known to have created her signature high ponytail. Appleton married Lukas Gage in April 2023, with Kim officiating the ceremony. However, the couple filed for divorce six months later, citing "irreconcilable differences." Despite their personal split, Kim has expressed pride in Appleton's Strictly participation, sending him flowers and encouraging messages. There has been speculation that Kim might appear to support Appleton during his time on the show, but it remains uncertain if her schedule will allow it. Kim previously appeared on the American version of the dance competition, Dancing With the Stars, in 2008, where she finished in eleventh place.
