Community event for breast cancer awareness

A 5-kilometer march is being organized in Pamiers on Saturday, October 17, as part of Octobre Rose, a national breast cancer awareness campaign. The event is free and open to all, aiming to raise awareness about breast cancer screening and collect donations to support the Cancer League in Ariège.

Event details and route

The march will start at 2:00 PM from the Place de la République and follow a round-trip route. Participants can warm up with the 100% KKO association before setting off, and a snack will be offered upon arrival.

Collaboration and local involvement

The City of Pamiers is organizing the event in collaboration with the Association of Runners of Pamiers and the departmental committee of the Cancer League. The Cancer League will be present at a booth to engage with the public and present its initiatives.

Municipal support and event goals

Dominique Garcia, a municipal official in charge of animation, described the event as "a moment of sharing and solidarity." Beyond the physical activity, the march is part of a national awareness campaign about breast cancer, emphasizing the importance of screening and highlighting initiatives to support those affected by the disease.
