Ultra-compact charger introduced

Ugreen has launched the Nexode Air 100W charger, a small power adapter that provides 100 W of power through a single USB-C port. This device is designed to be more portable than traditional 100 W chargers, which are often bulky and take up much space on a power strip.

Advanced technology used

The Nexode Air uses gallium nitride (GaN II) technology, which allows it to be 74% smaller than standard power blocks with the same power output. This technology also helps reduce heat and improve energy efficiency. A built-in temperature monitoring system adjusts the heating during the charging process.

Discounted price and availability

The Nexode Air 100W is currently available on Amazon at a 24% discount, priced at 37.99 euros, down from its regular price of 49.99 euros. It can power various devices, including the iPhone 18 Pro, Galaxy S26, and MacBook Pro.

Charging speeds and compatibility

According to the brand, the charger can charge an iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max to 50% in 15 minutes and 80% in 30 minutes. This speed is achieved using the AVS protocol, which Apple requires for fast charging. A 14-inch MacBook Pro reaches 55% in 30 minutes, but 16-inch models charge more slowly due to their higher power capacity.

Limitations and usage

The charger supports the USB Power Delivery standard and the PPS protocol (in 45 and 60 W), enabling fast charging on Samsung Galaxy smartphones. It can also power an iPad, Google Pixel, and portable consoles like the Steam Deck. However, it has only one USB-C port, so it can charge only one device at a time. No smartphone currently uses the 100 W power capacity, which is mainly intended for laptops and tablets.
