A story posted on Instagram, which was quickly deleted and whose authenticity is now in question, has linked the captain of the Moroccan national team, Achraf Hakimi, to a hidden paternity claim. Since 2023, several allegations about Hakimi's personal life have surfaced on social media without prior verification. One of these allegations, a rape accusation in France, is currently being processed through the legal system, but the paternity claim remains unverified and controversial. On October 8, a story briefly appeared on the Instagram account of Kysre Gondrezick, a former WNBA player turned model, before being deleted. Gondrezick, 29, claimed she discovered she was pregnant in July and identified Hakimi as the father. She stated the conception occurred during the World Cup when Morocco was playing in Houston. Gondrezick described feeling "manipulated, used, betrayed," but did not specify what these feelings referred to. She is known for her modeling career, a Playboy cover, and a past relationship with NBA player Jaylen Brown. Hakimi and his club, Paris Saint-Germain, have not publicly commented on the claims. One verified detail is that Morocco was in Houston during the World Cup, where they played against Canada on July 4. However, this does not confirm any meeting between Hakimi and Gondrezick. Some internet users pointed to a photo from July 7 on Hakimi's Instagram, which they claimed resembled Gondrezick's home. However, this comparison is speculative and does not prove a connection. Doubts also surround the video itself, with some U.S. websites suggesting it might be AI-generated. Gondrezick has not publicly addressed the video since its deletion. Hakimi's image has faced similar scrutiny before. A manipulated video posted on Facebook had him praising an app in Egyptian dialect, and in 2023, a claim that his assets were in his mother's name spread widely, despite being baseless. This claim, which originated from an Ivorian Twitter account, was later debunked by legal experts. The story even sparked jokes in other countries and misogynistic comments against Hakimi's former partner, Hiba Abouk, who had announced their separation in March 2023. The only legal case currently being judged involves the rape accusation in France. A 24-year-old woman claims she was raped in her home in Boulogne-Billancourt during the night of February 24-25, 2023. Hakimi denies the allegations, claiming he only kissed her and respected her refusal to go further. His legal team argues it is an extortion attempt, while the woman's lawyer sees it as a common defense in sexual violence cases. The case is set to be judged by professional judges without a jury, and no connection has been made between this case and the paternity claim. Hakimi remains presumed innocent.
