Stacey Solomon and Alesha Dixon have been named as the new presenters of The Voice UK, as part of a major revamp of the popular singing competition announced by ITV. The pair will replace Emma Willis, who had hosted the show since 2014 but recently moved to the BBC to front Strictly Come Dancing. ITV also confirmed that singer Cheryl and rapper Aitch will join the show as coaches, taking their places in the iconic red chairs that have become a hallmark of the series. The changes come after Sir Tom Jones, a long-time coach on the show, announced that he had been removed from The Voice UK due to an insurance issue. In a statement, he said he had been offered a "much-reduced role," which he was not thrilled about. ITV expressed gratitude for Sir Tom's contributions, calling him "irreplaceable" and acknowledging the joy he brought to audiences and performers alike. The new season of The Voice UK is currently in production, with filming beginning this week, while the series now airing on ITV was recorded in 2025. Other returning coaches include Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland and Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am, who has been with the show since its debut. Cheryl, who rose to fame as part of the pop group Girls Aloud and later achieved success as a solo artist, has also collaborated with Will.I.Am on several songs. Aitch, a Manchester-based rapper known for hits like Rain and Taste (Make It Shake), brings a fresh energy to the coaching panel. ITV described the new lineup as a mix of "legendary industry experience" and "vibrant competitive spirit." Stacey Solomon and Alesha Dixon bring a wealth of television experience to their new roles. Dixon gained fame as a member of the girl group Mis-Teeq and has previously judged Strictly Come Dancing and Britain’s Got Talent. She also hosted The Greatest Dancer and the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool. Solomon, who came second on The X Factor in 2009, is now known for hosting Sort Your Life Out and appearing on the reality show Stacey & Joe with her husband, Joe Swash. Other notable changes include the departure of McFly’s Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, who had shared coaching duties for the last two series. ITV thanked them for their contributions and wished them well in their future endeavors. Emma Willis will continue to appear on the current series, which was recorded in 2025, meaning she will host two different prime-time shows this autumn—one for ITV and one for the BBC. Meanwhile, The Voice UK continues to evolve, building on its legacy since its debut in 2012.
