Nolwenn Leroy is adapting the French novel Il ne se passe jamais rien ici by Olivier Adam, which was published by Flammarion in May 2024. The book is being turned into a six-episode mini-series, with each episode running for 52 minutes. Filming is currently underway and will continue until next November in the regions of Savoie and Haute-Savoie. The mini-series is directed by Hippolyte Dard and produced by Morgane Production. It will be broadcast by TF1, though the exact release date has not been announced. Nolwenn Leroy, who recently appeared in Brocéliande (2024) directed by Bruno Garcia and L'Été 36 (2026) directed by Fred Garson, is expanding her filmography with this new project. The book, published in 2024 by Flammarion, has sold more than 22,000 copies in large format and nearly 30,000 copies in pocket format, according to Edistat figures. The story is set in a quiet village by Lake Annecy, where the tourist season is winding down. The plot centers on Antoine, a man in his late thirties who is known to everyone in the village but viewed with suspicion by many, including his own family. He often spends his evenings at the local café with the regulars, but after a woman's body is found near the lake at dawn, the community's attention turns to him. Despite his reputation as an "eternal teenager," Antoine quickly becomes the prime suspect. However, the narrative suggests that he may not be the only person with a motive, as several others were out late that night. Hippolyte Dard, the director of the mini-series, has previously worked on episodes of L'île prisonnière (2023), Sam (2024–2025), and L'or bleu (2026), as well as the film Des jours meilleurs (2025), which he co-wrote and co-directed with Elsa Bennett. The mini-series, produced by Morgane Production, is expected to air on TF1, though the specific date remains unknown. The filming schedule spans several months, with production continuing through November in the French Alpine regions of Savoie and Haute-Savoie.
