France Télévisions is preparing to adapt several investigative works for television. The first adaptation is Silence dans les champs, a book by Nicolas Legendre originally published by Arthaud in April 2023. The six-episode mini-series will be produced by Haut et Court and written by Mehdi Ouahab and Nicolas Legendre. The story centers on a Breton farmer found hanging on his property, uncovering a long-standing system of oppression that began with his father's experiences in the 1960s. This adaptation aims to explore themes of rural injustice and generational trauma. Another adaptation is Inceste d'État by Romane Brisard, published by Stock in October 2025. This will be transformed into a three-episode mini-series titled Mères en cavale, produced by L’Intruse, part of the Tetra Media group. The series will be written by Romane Brisard and Nathalie Saugeon. It follows Éléonore, a mother who flees after discovering that the justice system will not protect her child from incestuous abuse. Her journey leads her to join a network of individuals fighting to protect children and reveal the truth. Both adaptations have yet to announce their cast and broadcast dates. In addition to these mini-series, France Télévisions will air a television film adaptation of Ensemble, on aboie en silence by Gringe, titled On aboie en silence. The film will debut on October 8 on france.tv, followed by a broadcast on France 2. This project highlights the ongoing efforts to bring powerful narratives to a broader audience through television. France Télévisions is also developing a mini-series titled 14 Juillet, based on a text by Nicolas Mathieu. The series is expected to air during the 2026-2027 season. This project continues the network's focus on adapting compelling and socially relevant stories for television, reflecting current issues and historical contexts.
