New high-end smartphone released

Oppo has introduced the Find X10 Pro Max, a new high-end smartphone priced at 1799 euros, which is 500 euros more than the previous generation.

Camera capabilities and limitations

The device features a camera module with a cumulative resolution of 600 megapixels, consisting of a triple camera setup with a wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a periscope zoom lens with 3x magnification, all equipped with a 200-megapixel sensor. A multispectral sensor is also included to analyze ambient light, aiming to produce realistic photos with improved edge uniformity on the ultra-wide-angle lens and better skin texture preservation in portraits with the 3x zoom.

Zoom performance and software limits

However, digital zoom beyond 6x remains clear, while software limitations become apparent at 10x or 30x zoom, where the algorithms significantly smooth the image.

Display and performance features

The Find X10 Pro Max includes a 6.78-inch screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate, displaying accurate colors in natural mode. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, manufactured on a 2-nanometer process, paired with 12 GB of RAM.

Performance and thermal issues

This combination delivers strong performance, maintaining a solid 120 frames per second in PUBG mobile. However, the high performance comes with significant thermal heating, with the device reaching 50 degrees Celsius at the screen level during intensive stress tests, indicating a need for improved cooling.

Battery capacity and charging speed

The device is equipped with a 7150 mAh battery made of silicon-carbon, providing two full days of use without issues. However, charging time exceeds an hour and a half with standard Power Delivery at 55 W.
