Joy-Con 2 controllers on sale at discounted price

The blue and light yellow Joy-Con 2 controllers for the Nintendo Switch 2 are currently available on Amazon for 69.99 euros, a 20 euro discount from their standard price of 89.99 euros. This represents their lowest price since their launch.

Launch and design inspiration

Nintendo unveiled these controllers during a Nintendo Direct event on June 9, 2026, and they became available in stores on July 23, coinciding with the release of Splatoon Raiders. The colors of the controllers mirror those of the Tridenfer, a fictional group from Splatoon 3. The left Joy-Con is blue, and the right is light yellow.

Controller availability and compatibility

The Switch 2 comes with a single pair of Joy-Con 2 controllers. For two players to each have their own pair, an additional controller must be purchased. The discounted price of 69.99 euros applies to the pair of Joy-Con 2 controllers. These controllers are the official accessories for the Switch 2 and are identical to those included with the console, except for their color.

Features and functionality

The Joy-Con 2 controllers support motion controls, HD 2 vibrations, and a mouse mode that allows sliding a Joy-Con on a table to move a cursor in compatible games. They also include a C button that provides direct access to GameChat, which requires a paid Nintendo Switch Online subscription. The packaging includes the left and right Joy-Con and two grip covers. It is important to note that these Joy-Con 2 controllers are only compatible with the Switch 2 and not with the first-generation Switch.

Pricing and availability notes

Nintendo sells all Joy-Con 2 pairs at the same price of 89.99 euros, regardless of the color variant, including the standard model, light violet and light green version, and the blue and yellow edition. The blue and yellow edition benefits from the 20 euro discount and is approaching the best prices observed for official Joy-Con 2 controllers. This discount makes it a good opportunity to purchase additional pairs at a lower cost, especially with the end-of-year holidays and potential multiplayer sessions approaching. However, it is noted that prices on Amazon can change quickly, and there is no guarantee that this discount will last long.
