U.S. aims for third straight Junior Davis Cup title

The United States is aiming to win its third consecutive title in the Junior Davis Cup, a tennis competition for under-16 players, with the global finals set to be held in Cairo, Egypt, from November 2 to 8, 2026.

U.S. dominance in recent years

The Americans were champions in the under-16 category in both 2024 and 2025, and now they are looking to extend their winning streak. If they succeed, it would mark their sixth title in the competition, matching the record held by Australia and Spain.

French coach leads U.S. team

Sylvain Guichard, a French coach working with the United States Tennis Association (USTA), will lead the U.S. team. He previously guided the team to victory in the 2025 final in Chile, where they defeated Japan 2-0.

New generation of players

This time, Guichard will rely on a new group of players, including Teodor Davidov, Izyan Ahmad, and Tomas Laukys. The team will aim to continue the success of their predecessors while bringing fresh talent to the competition.

France also participates

France will be represented in the competition by players Pablo Pradat, Benoît Geldof, and Joseph Phitoussi, who will be coached by Grégory Carraz. The competition will include 16 nations, with a group stage followed by knockout matches to determine the winner.
