U.S. aims for third straight Junior Davis Cup title

The United States is seeking a historic third consecutive title in the Junior Davis Cup, an international team competition for players under 18, during the World Finals in Cairo, Egypt, from November 2 to 8, 2026. The Americans have already won the under-16 category in 2024 and 2025 and are now targeting a new record in the under-18 division.

French coach leads U.S. team

Sylvain Guichard, a French coach working with the United States Tennis Association (USTA), will captain the American team. He previously led the U.S. to victory in the 2025 final, where they defeated Japan 2-0. His 2025 squad included players like Michael Antonius, Andrew Johnson, and Jordan Lee.

New players join U.S. squad

This year, Guichard will coach a new group of players, including Teodor Davidov, Izyan Ahmad, and Tomas Laukys. A third consecutive title would make the U.S. the first nation to win six Junior Davis Cup titles, matching the record held by Australia and Spain.

France fields strong team

France will also compete, with players Pablo Pradat, Benoît Geldof, and Joseph Phitoussi under the guidance of coach Grégory Carraz. The French team is expected to be a strong contender in the 16-nation competition.

Tournament format includes group and knockout stages

The Junior Davis Cup World Finals will feature a group stage followed by knockout matches. The event will take place in Cairo, Egypt, with teams competing for the prestigious title in a structured, multi-phase format.
